Roy Kehl Thomas was the seventh head college football coach for Fairmount College (now Wichita State University) located in Wichita, Kansas and he held that position for three seasons, from 1909 until 1911. His overall coaching record at Fairmount College was 15 wins, 8 losses, and 2 ties. This ranks him eighth at Wichita State in terms of total wins and sixth at Wichita State in terms of winning percentage.[1]

The 1911 team finished the season with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss. They were declared the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference champions.[2]

Roy K. Thomas died at Traverse City, Michigan in 1977 after a long illness.[3]
