Rosa Galvez

Rosa Galvez is a Canadian Senator from Quebec. At the time of her appointment, she was a professor at Laval University in Montreal and head of the university's Department of Civil Engineering and Water Engineering.^[1][2] Her academic research has focussed on the area of pollution.^[3] Her appointment to the Senate was announced on November 2, 2016. Galvez was born in Peru,^[3] and earned her Master of Science (M.Sc.), Environmental Engineering Technology and then her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, both from McGill University.^[1]
