Richy Carrasco

Richy Carrasco is a slalom and freestyle pro skateboarder. In the 1970s Richy set a world record for consecutive 360 degree spins, which he still holds today.

Biography

During the 70s, he was a member of the Pepsi Cola Team alongside his two brothers, David & Rene. At that time they were referred to as the Flying Carrasco Brothers.

In the late 1990s, there was a resurgence in slalom skateboarding worldwide due to sponsorship by the Red Bull Beverage Company. Richy began to compete as a slalom skateboarder. After winning several world cup races and national titles, Richy and his wife Maria started the Sk8kings Skateboard Company. Many top slalom and freestyle skaters are on the Sk8kings Team, which continues to win many contests worldwide. Some of the members of the team are Primo Disiderio, Diane Disiderio, Gary Holl, and Frank Lee. He is the Official Guinness book record holder at 142 continuous revolutions on a skateboard! He has never been beaten in a 360 competition from the 70s to this Day! Richy had a signature skateboard wheel called the 360 spinner in 1979 by Hobie skateboards.
