Reuben Colley (born 1976[1]) is an artist who paints in oils. He is known for his "gritty" cityscapes depicting his home town of Birmingham, England.[2] His work is in a number of public collections, including that of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.[2][3]

Colley's childhood home was on the Bromford Estate in the Hodge Hill district of Birmingham.[2] He studied fine art, specialising in painting, at the University of Wolverhampton.[4]

He and his wife Joanna live in Birmingham.[2][4]

In March 2015, he opened the Reuben Colley Gallery (which trades as Reuben Colley Fine Arts) on Colmore Row in Birmingham, to display and sell both his own works and those of other artists.[2] He formerly had a gallery in the city's Moseley district, which opened in February 2010.[2][5]

Colley has said:[6]

Painting, to me, should be a very natural process, without the restraints of gimmick and style, it is an infinite language of expression, only I find it much more comforting than using words.
