Reliance Big TV Ltd is an Indian direct to home (DTH) television operator offering services under the brand name Reliance Digital TV. Reliance Big TV Ltd is a subsidiary of Reliance Communications.[1]
History
Launched as Reliance Big TV in August 2008,[2] the service acquired 1 million subscribers within 90 days of launch,[3] the fastest ramp-up ever achieved by any DTH operator in the world. Reliance Big TV offers its 1.7 million customers DVD-quality pictures on over 200 channels using MPEG-4 technology. The service was later renamed as Reliance Digital TV.
