Relate magazine

Relate is an American magazine for teenagers. Privately owned and operated, it was first published in Winter of 2008, based out of St. Louis, Missouri. In the Fall issue of 2009, Relate also became an ezine, which expanded its market demographic.

Relate's mission is to "Inspire teen girls to pursue their dreams with confidence and to teach them to be an example for others in their speech, life, love, faith and purity."

About the Magazine

RELATE is the leading, prestigious national teen magazine for girls aged 12–19 dedicated to encourage, motivate, inspire…committed to bring teens to a higher level of self-esteem and focusing on real teens that are making a difference in the world.

While encouraging and inspiring, Relate hopes to fulfill teen girls needs and wants of beauty, fashion, boys, entertainment, faith, and additional special features.[1] Relate removes the inappropriate “junk” found in typical mainstream teen magazines that often encourage promiscuity/lack of sexual education or sexual protection, idolizing poor role-models in Hollywood, focusing on unrealistic body image/eating disorders. Relate adds interesting, encouraging, motivating information for teen girls that will help guide them down a positive road.

Relate can offer teen girls everything they care about, filter out the junk, replace it with inspiration, while keeping them interested and entertained. [2] [3] [4]

On August 29, 2009, Relate held a fashion show at a Macy's store. Teenagers modelled back-to-school clothing from American Rag.[5]
