Ready Jet Go! is a CGI animated television series which premiered in the United States as part of the PBS Kids[1] block on February 15, 2016. The series is produced by Wind Dancer Films and Snee Oosh, Inc. in cooperation with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory The show which is aimed to boys ages 3 to 7. On August 17, 2016, PBS Kids announced that Ready Jet Go! has been renewed for the second season which will premiere in late 2017.

Plot

Jet Propulsion lives with his family from the fictional planet Bortron 7. They live in Washington State,[2] where they study human customs and Earth environments for a travel guide. Jet has made friends with neighborhood kids, including Sean, Mindy, and Sydney, whose parents work at the nearby Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The Propulsions' car turns into a flying saucer, which they frequently use to take the older kids into space. Their alien identities are known to Sean, Mindy, and Sydney, but they otherwise make some effort to conceal their origin. As of early June 2016, it's unclear whether anyone else knows who they really are.

1a"A Kid's Guide to Mars"February 15, 2016 (2016-02-15)109

Jet, Sydney, and Sean go to Mars with Jet's parents, who need to file a travel report on it. Meanwhile, Face 9000's brother, Face 9001, pays a visit.

Learning Goals: Mars was once (4 billion years ago) a lot like Earth, with oceans, clouds and drinkable water. Something happened 3.7 billion years ago that turned Mars’ atmosphere from warm and wet to dry and cold.
1b"Jet 2"February 15, 2016 (2016-02-15)109

Jet wants to watch Commander Cressida with Sydney, but realizes he also promised to help Sean, so Jet builds a robot version of himself so he can be at two places at once, but becomes jealous when his friends begin playing with the robot.

Learning Goals: A robot is an automatic mechanical device often resembling a human or animal. Humans build robots to perform the tasks humans can’t do, but people are still in control because they give instructions to the robots.
2a"Tour of the Solar System"February 17, 2016 (2016-02-17)101

Jet and his friends are playing a Solar System game, but mess up on which planets go where, so they take a trip to space to find out the order of the planets in the solar system.

Learning Goals: The sun is at the center of our solar system, and everything else revolves around it. The sun, planets, dwarf planets, moons, and different kinds of space rocks like asteroids and comets are all part of our solar system.

Song: Solar System Song
2b"Jet Cooks Dinner"February 17, 2016 (2016-02-17)101

While Jet's parents are away, he and his friends decide to cook the 'classic 3-part Bortronian Meal' for them, but have trouble with the cooking. Sean teaches them the Scientific Method so they can get the recipe right.

Song: Scientific Method

Learning Goals: "Failure is not the opposite of success; failure is a stepping stone to success." This attitude can be applied to cooking as well as scientific discoveries!
3a"Just the Right Distance From the Sun"February 18, 2016 (2016-02-18)104

Sean explains to the group that Earth is a Goldilocks planet - its not too hot and its not too cold, it's just right. When Celery flies the kids out into space, they observe how other planets don't have the attributes to support life.

Learning Goals: All life on Earth comes from the energy of the Sun. The Earth happens to be located just the right distance from the Sun: not too far away, and not too close. This makes the Earth what we call a "Goldilocks planet": not too hot, not too cold.
3b"Solar Power Rover"February 18, 2016 (2016-02-18)104

Jet, Sean, and Sydney visit their Mars Robot Rover friend at the DSA, and discover that the rover seems tired. Through helping the solar powered robot regain its energy, they learn how energy can be captured, used from the Sun, and used anywhere – even on Mars.

Learning Goals: The Sun creates solar power that is used for energy. Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly or indirectly
