Ray Lambrecht (January 31, 1918 – September 22, 2014) was a car dealer in Pierce, Nebraska. Over a number of decades, when he sold new cars he kept the trade-in cars. He parked them on his farm and, over the years, they became largely hidden by growing trees. In 2013, he put more than 500 of his antique cars up for auction. The auction was televised on the History Channel and it drew 25,000 people. Bidders were also able to participate on the auction site Proxibid, allowing bidders from across the world to participate.^[1] The cars sold for $2,800,000.^{[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]}
