Priyanka Bhanushali (born 7 January 1993) is an Indian singer and songwriter, who performs under the stage name Priyanka Pripri.^[1]

Personal life

Born in Mumbai, India on 7 January 1993,^[2] Priyanka moved with her family to Australia in 2004. She began playing music at the age of six, learning to play on a custom-made left-handed guitar made for her size, in addition to learning the keyboard. She began singing at the age of fourteen and is currently based out of Sydney.^[3][4] She has attended the undergraduate program in Music and Sound Engineering at the Australian Institute of Music.^[4]

Singing career

Priyanka has written and performed songs that have appeared on feature films produced out of Bollywood in India.^[1] She has also recorded a ten track album of Western style pop music with 301 Studios, and has released several music videos online of Bollywood style music.^[5] These have also appeared on Vevo and MTV.^[6] She released her first album in 2012 at the age of 19, working with Aadesh Srivastava, containing "mix genre and includes raga-based classical Punjabi folk tracks, and a couple of club and dance numbers".^[4] In 2014 she performed at the Parramasala Festival in Sydney, Australia, which had about 40,000 attendees.^[1]

Her debut single was Sai Mere Saiyan, which appeared in the Top 6 on Radio 360. Her track Wild Tears appeared on the Sydney Pop Charts and appeared on the ReverbNation for twenty-five weeks.^[7]
