Platyptilia tesseradactyla is a moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is found in northern and central Europe, east to Russia. In Norway it is found up to 70° northern latitude. It is also found in the United States and Canada and has also been recorded from Iran.[1]
The wingspan is 17–20 mm. Adults are on wing in June and July.
The larvae feed on the stems of Helichrysum arenarium and Antennaria dioica.
