Pilvai is a village in Mehsana district in the state of Gujarat. Pilvai (Pin 382850) is located in Vijapur county and connected to Mehsana, Himatnagar, Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad by road. Ahmedabad international Airport is approximately 60 km ( 37 mile ) from Pilvai.[1] Pilvai has several educational institutes.[2]

Festival
Makar Sakranti- Uttarayan or Kite Flying Day is a biggest festival in Pilvai typically celebrated on January 14 each year. Everybody has off from work, school and colleges are closed for this special holiday. Seasonal change around the corner cold Winter is about to finish and beautiful spring and summer with lot of sun to come. Local celebration begins with feeding sacred animal including street dogs in the early morning, chanting holy Bhajan in the streets and praying for peace and welfare for the world. People start flying colorful fighter kite in the sky and enjoy entire day on the street or on the roof in a sunny day. People like to enjoy fighter kite watching in the sky. People enjoys Special lunch including Undhiyu and Jalebi.
