Philip Fisher

- [[Philip (Phil) Fisher (born 1951). Musician and music executive. Started his career after attending an audition for the 60's song writing duo John Carter and Ken Lewis at the early age of 14. Worked at Southern Music in Denmark Street and featured on many demos and songs working with artists like Roger Cook, Tony McCauley, Tony Burrows. He became a member of Wavelength who in 1983 had a hit with Hurry Home. His work with record companies led him to work in publishing and in the A&R departments and eventually became a consultant. He eventually formed a management company called Fisher-Varnom with a colleague from Virgin Records John Varnom and went on to become MD of Universe Records and Falcon Records GBH. He later formed an understanding with Mike Smith formally with the Dave Clark Five and wrote and recorded Jingles having secured the contract for the de-regularised radio station in the mid 80's.
