Peter R. Morris (January 1, 1854 – December 9, 1884) was a Welsh Major League Baseball shortstop in 1884 for the Washington Nationals of the Union Association. He played one game for them, going 0-for-3. He also played for the Milwaukee team in the Northwestern League in 1883 and 1884. He was killed in a railroad accident in December, 1884. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Ixonia, Wisconsin.[1]
Morris is the first of only three men born in Wales to play in the major leagues to date; the others were Jimmy Austin and Ted Lewis.
