Patrick Shen (born 1975) is an American writer and award-winning director and producer of Flight from Death,[1] a seven-time Best Documentary award-winning film.
Documentaries
Shen's first work on a documentary was with We Served with Pride: The Chinese American Experience in WWII, a film about the Chinese American involvement in World War II.[2][3]
In 2003, he released the critically acclaimed Flight From Death, a documentary about death anxiety, inspired by the works and writings of cultural anthropologist and social theorist Ernest Becker.[4]
Shen's latest work, The Philosopher Kings, is a documentary about the wisdom gained by janitorial workers in prestigious universities.[5]
