Patricia Arab is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2013 provincial election. A member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, she represents the electoral district of Fairview-Clayton Park.[1]
Early life
Arab was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and attended Halifax West High School. Arab obtained her bachelor of arts from the University of King's College /Dalhousie University, a bachelor of education from Mount Saint Vincent University and a masters of education in counselling from Acadia University. She taught and was a guidance counselor in the South Shore Regional School Board until her election in the Nova Scotia general election, 2013.
Political career
Arab made the news after praying over non-halal hot dogs mistakenly thinking that would make them halal, which were then served to Muslims at a community barbecue.[2] She apologized for the incident.
