P. A. Madhavan is an Indian National Congress politician from Thrissur and Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Manalur Assembly Constituency. Son of Shri P. Achuthan Nair and Smt. M. Parvathy Amma; born at Mundur on 14 September 1946; S.S.L.C., Document Writer.

Was Block President (1968-1969), District Secretary (1969-1972), District General Secretary (1972-1977), District President (1977-1980) of Youth Congress.

General Secretary (1980-2006),President (2006–2011) of DCC; District Chairman (2006-2008) of UDF; Leader of Opposition (2000-2005), District Panchayat.

Director (1980-1983), Sitaram Mills; Chairman (1996-2002), Mala Co-operative Spinning Mills; President (1994-2011) Malsya Vilpana Thozhilali Sahakarana Sangham, Thrissur District.

Now, President, NTC Show-Room Employees (Kerala), Railway Goods –Shed Workers Union, Thrissur, Municipal Corporation Electricity Employees Union, Thrissur, KSEB Thozhilali Union, Thrissur and Pharmaceutical Corporation Employees Union. [1][2]
