Oxford High School is a public high school in Oxford, Connecticut, operated by Oxford Public Schools. As of Spring 2013, there were 592 students enrolled in grades 9 to 12.[1][2]

Athletics

Oxford High School has nearly twenty different sports teams. These Include: Boys' Soccer, Girls' Soccer, Football, Cross Country, Boys' Volleyball, Girls' Volleyball, Girls' Swimming, Boys' Swimming, Girls' Basketball, Boys' Basketball, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Indoor Track, Softball, Baseball, Girls' Track, Boys' Track, & Unified Sports.

Athletics Stadium

In the fall of 2013, it became the home of a brand new athletics stadium. This consists of a track and turf field, as well as plenty of seating for enjoying the games.

2013 Title Town

In the spring of 2013, it became the third school in Connecticut history to win 3 state championships in one season (Baseball, Softball, and Boys' Volleyball).

Outreach

Think Pink

This is an annual fundraiser spearheaded by the OHS Student Council as a town-wide effort to spread awareness and raise money for breast cancer research. This is done through the selling of tee-shirts.

Youth Conservation Corps

This student group allows students to make money while creating walking paths in the Rockhill House Sanctuary for residents of the town of Oxford and surrounding towns to enjoy.

Community Service Based Groups

Drama Program

The Drama Club at Oxford High School performs a different play year after year. These include the theater group known as the Wolverine Players as well as members of the OHS Technical Theatre Club.

Past Musicals

Annual Haunted House

This event is hosted every year by the OHS Drama Club and attracts an audience of all ages. It is a walk through haunted house with different themed rooms every years designed and filled with ghoulish looking drama students.
