One Liberty Place Obervation Deck also called Philly From The Top is a 883 ft Obervation deck and look out located on the 57th-floor of One Liberty Place in downtown Philadelphia.[1]

History

Comcast Center as seen from the Obervation deck

Paris-based Montparnasse 56 Group (M56) announced in 2014 that it would open an observation deck on the 57th floor of One Liberty Place.[2] The One Liberty Observation Deck, also called Philly from the Top, opened to the public on November 28, 2015.[3] The observation deck is fully enclosed and offers 360 degree panoramic views of the city from 883 feet above street level, which is the highest public access level in Philadelphia as of 2016.[4][5] The Obervation deck we opened on Saturday November 28, 2015.

It is currently (as of Nov. 2016) the tallest standing building attraction in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

Concept

Southwest view from the observation deck

The attraction consists of three levels, the ground floor entry area, and second floor ticketing, lobby and gift shop area and the 57 floor observation area. After you purchase your ticket you make your way to a green screen where you picture can be taken. After that you make your way forward to an elevator. After the about 30 to 40 second elevator ride which a video with surround sound plays to promote the outlook and the city as you make your way to the 57th floor. You walk out into a small gathering area with tables, seating areas and vending machines. The Obervation area goes in a circular area around the core where the elevators and restrooms are located. And throughout the look out are multiple interactive maps and other electronic tours as well as sight seeing tours.
