Olympic Heights Community High School is a public high school located at 20101 Lyons Road, serving west Boca Raton, parts of Boynton Beach and parts of Delray Beach as part of the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Academies
Olympic Heights offers a number of "academies", or specializations within the school itself. These academies are early childhood and teacher education, engineering and technology (Project Lead The Way), hospitality and tourism, and finance and resort management.
Students applying to any of the programs must meet the following eligibility criteria:
2.0 GPA (Not required for tourism and resort management)
Three favorable teacher recommendations (teacher recommendations must be sent to the school to which student is applying)
There are also two in-house academies: culinary and fashion design.
Athletics
Although the school's sports teams have captured a number of state titles, Olympic Heights is perhaps best known for the girls volleyball team's seven straight state titles from 1996-2002.
Football
Olympic Heights football achieved 10-0 in its second year of existence (1992) and 10-0 in its 3rd season (1993). Ultimately, Olympic Heights tied a Florida state record of 26 straight regular season victories from 1992-1994.
Wrestling
The Olympic Heights wrestling team has gone undefeated three times (1999, 2004, and 2008), been Palm Beach County champions four times, district champions eleven times and just won their first region title in 2012.
Basketball
In 2004 the Olympic Heights basketball team made it to the final four in the 6A division for the state of Florida. The Lions played the second-ranked team in the state (Palm Beach Lakes) and won by over 20 points to make it into the final four. The Lions finished in third place after losing to opponents South Miami.
Dance
The Olympic Heights hip-hop dance team was started by Rachel Bentley and Dara Smith, two students, and was awarded first place and an elite gold medal at the StarPower dance competition in 2004.
Journalism
The Torch is a newspaper run by the students of OHHS.
In 2014, a daily updated news site was created by the students of OHHS. The site is ohtorch.com
Marching band
The Olympic Heights Mighty Lion Marching Band won the state championship two years in a row. In the 2004 marching season, the Lions won the Class A championship with their show titled "Category V" and won once again in 2005 with their show entitled "Vesuvius".
Social Studies Academic Games
The Social Studies Academic Games team at Olympic Heights was founded in the late 1990s and enjoyed a string of success under coach Brad Bluhm. It is currently coached by Jennifer Chapdelaine. Several players have claimed regional titles and advanced to the national finals, including Jariel Bortnick (first place nationally in 1999), Michael Christ (first place in Palm Beach County in 2007, first in Florida in 2011), and David Gracin (first place in Palm Beach County and third place in Florida in 2012).
Model United Nations
The Model United Nations Club at Olympic Heights has enjoyed success at regional conferences over the last few years.
2009-2010 - Won the "Best Small School" Award at the GatorMUN Conference at the University of Florida.
2010-2012 - Won many individual awards at the GatorMUN Conference at UF.
2012 - Four delegates received a total of 7 awards at the FIMUN Conference at Florida International University.

Theater
The Olympic Heights Theatre Department, Thespian Troupe 4992, was established in 1991, and has grown to hold a significant place in the Boca Raton community. The department has won several state championships, produced over 40 mainstages, performed at hundreds of community centers, brought home dozens of Cappies and Critics Choice awards, raised significant sums for Broadway Cares and Equity Fights AIDS, and graduated many students who have gone on to careers as professionals in the arts.
Little Lions Preschool
Olympic Heights has an on-site preschool serving children aged three to ten. The preschool offers early childhood education. The high school students enrolled in the Early Childhood and Teacher Education Academy are able to work as teachers in the preschool, where they carry out lesson plans with the children.
