Newfund

Newfund is an early-stage venture capital firm with main office in Paris, France and investments mostly in France and the United States. Founded in 2008, it has raised more than 100 million euro. As of end-October 2015, its portfolio included investments in 42 companies in France and the U.S. ^[1]

In January 2016, Newfund was listed third in an independent ranking of the Top 10 French venture capital firms in the FinTech sector.^[2]

• Groupe Pratique, a Paris-based information & services group focused on everyday life and leisure
• iBillionaire, a New York-based provider of stock indices and ETFs ^[6]
• In2Bones, a medical device designer and manufacturer based in Ecully near Lyons ^[7]
• Invoxia, an Issy-les-Moulineaux-based producer of phone hardware, which has also received investment from the Amazon Alexa Fund ^{[8] [9]}
• Jobijoba, an application that uses machine learning to match employment announcements with job seekers ^[10]
• Limonetik, Paris-based developer of a payment engine that enables alternative payments on commercial websites ^[11]
• Medtech, a Montpellier-based robotic surgery company that developed the ROSA robot, publicly listed on Euronext Paris since November 2013 ^[12]
• Monbento, a Clermont-Ferrand-based lifestyle company whose award-winning Bento boxes are distributed by the New York Museum of Modern Art ^{[13] [14]}
• Red Luxury, a Paris-based smartwatch designer ^[15]
• Tageos, a designer and manufacturer of low-cost and eco-friendly RFID labels ^[16]
• Trading Ticket/TradeIt, a New York-based fintech company that offers infrastructure solutions for retail investing ^[17]

One of Newfund's early investments, MobPartner, was purchased in March 2015 by Cheetah Mobile.^[18]

Team

François Véron created Newfund in 2008 after a decade of private equity investment experience.^[19]

Newfund's other partners include Patrick Malka and Charles-Antoine Morand.^[1]
