Multi-state games

Hot Lotto

Main article: Hot Lotto

Hot Lotto is available through 15 lotteries, including New Mexico and the District of Columbia. Hot Lotto drawings are on Wednesday and Saturday nights. The game draws five "white balls" numbered from 1 through 47, and an orange "Hot Ball", numbered 1 through 19. The jackpot begins at $1,000,000 (all-cash, and "taxes-paid"), increasing by at least $50,000 if there is no top prize winner. Hot Lotto, whose basic game is $1 per play, has a $2-per-game option, called Sizzler (similar to Powerball's Power Play); it triples non-jackpot prizes.

The Hot Lotto game took its current form after extensive changes on May 12, 2013. Changes included a revised double matrix (adding eight "white balls" to its original 5/39 + 1/19 double matrix), and the $1,000,000 minimum progressive jackpot was changed from annuity-with-a-cash-option to all-cash, and "taxes paid" (i.e., the advertised jackpot amounts are after withholdings, rather than the usual American practice of before withholdings.)

Mega Millions

Main article: Mega Millions

On October 27, 2009, a special meeting was held by the New Mexico Lottery Board of Directors in which it voted in favor of adding Mega Millions to the Lottery's portfolio. New Mexico joined Mega Millions on January 31, 2010, the official cross-selling date. Mega Millions is available in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Drawings are on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:00 PM Mountain Time (the numbers are chosen in Atlanta.) Tickets cost $1 per play per drawing and can be purchased until 8:45 PM Mountain Time for that night's drawing. The jackpot starts at $15 million and grows until won. The advertised jackpot/grand prize is an estimated amount which is paid as a 30-payment graduated annuity (5 percent yearly) or, at the election of the winner, in a single lump sum payment of the cash value of the annuity jackpot/grand prize (subject to State and Federal taxes.)

Players can increase the value of any prize, except the jackpot, by purchasing the Megaplier for $1 more per play per drawing.

Monopoly Millionaires′ Club (sales suspended)

On October 19, 2014, twenty-two states and the District of Columbia launched Monopoly Millionaires' Club (MMC), which was based on the Monopoly board game. Games were $5 each. Players chose 5 of 52 numbers; a sixth number, representing the 28 properties on a standard U.S. Monopoly game board, was terminal-selected. Jackpots began at $15 million, and were capped at $25 million. When a jackpot was won, a minimum of 10 cash millionaires were made with special "Millionaires′ Club" drawings. Players also could enter, online, a 25-character alphanumeric code to win a trip for two (and $500 spending money) to Las Vegas to potentially play for up to $1 million cash. The game show will debut in March 2015.

It is not known whether a modified version of the MMC draw game will return.

Powerball

Main article: Powerball

Powerball jackpots begin at $40 million. Drawings are Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59 PM Mountain Time. Tickets cost $2 per play and can be purchased until 8:00 PM Mountain Time for that night's drawing. Similar to Mega Millions' Megaplier option, Power Play can increase most prize levels. Jackpots are advertised, and paid out, similar to in Mega Millions.
