Sri Vengamamba Devasthanam a temple nearly 300 years old is found in this village.

It was built in the name of a woman Pachava Vengamamba who is from the same village. She committed Sati with her husband who suffered a brutal death by the bandits of the nearby area. Numerous sightings of her spirit were reported after the incident with people claiming they were blessed by her. Since then she was considered a god and a temple was built in her name. The house where she lived is still intact and found in this village.

Sri Vengamanba perantallu (Tirunalla) will be held every year in the month of June or July. It was estimated that around 500,000 people from Andhra Pradesh and its neighboring states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka visit the temple during this time.
