Nadine Kaadan

Nadine Kaadan (Paris, 1985) is a Syrian children's book illustrator and writer. She graduated in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Damascus,[1] and acquired a Masters in Illustration at Kingston University, in England. She has published 15 books,[2] stories sometimes about the Arab world. Her book "Leila answer me" won the Anna Lindh Award (the Best Fiction Book for children with special needs),[3] and it's being used to teach Arabic language courses at Harvard University.

She is a member of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY).[4] Her illustrations have been exhibited at the BIB exhibition (Biennale of illustration Bratislava 2011).[5]
