Mount Dalton

Mount Dalton (69°29′S 157°54′E / 69.483°S 157.900°E / -69.483; 157.900Coordinates: 69°29′S 157°54′E / 69.483°S 157.900°E / -69.483; 157.900) is a peak 1,175 metres (3,850 ft) high, on the east side of Matusevich Glacier, 6 nautical miles (11 km) southeast of Thompson Peak, in the northwest part of the Wilson Hills. It was sketched and photographed by Phillip Law on February 20, 1959, during the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) (Magga Dan) expedition, and was named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for R.F.M. Dalton, Technical Officer (aircraft) of the Antarctic Division and second-in-charge of this expedition.[1]
