moneyhelpline's comparison services are powered by Lovemoney.com, another price comparison site, as well as Seopa and The Broker Team, other comparison providers.[2] moneyhelpline makes profit by earning commission for each customer who takes out a financial product through them, making the service free to the consumer.[3]

The company was founded in 2002 as Fundraising Innovations Ltd[4] trading as switchandgive.com.
moneyhelpline is one of a group of web properties owned by Fundraising Innovations Ltd, which also includes energyhelpline - comparing gas and electricity tariffs and heating insurance, greenhelpline - comparing green energy solutions, and firsthelpline - comparing broadband and home phone services.[5]
