Modern Baseball/The Hundred Acre Wood

Modern Baseball/The Hundred Acre Wood is the second split EP of the American pop punk band Modern Baseball, and their third recording.[1]

Background

Modern Baseball formed at Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2012, where songwriters Brendan Lukens and Jake Ewald began writing catchy pop-punk-influenced indie rock, with nods to the likes of Say Anything and Motion City Soundtrack, alongside the lyricism of Dashboard Confessional and the wit of the Front Bottoms.[2] In 2011, they recorded their first EP The Nameless Ranger.[3] In 2012, Modern Baseball record its first split EP Couples Therapy with the emo band Marietta. On November 27, Modern Baseball released its first studio album via Lame-O Records.[4][5][6] On July 16, 2013, Modern Baseball released their second split EP, with two songs from Modern Baseball and two songs from The Hundred Acre Wood. The mastering was done by Ryan Schwabe, the mix by Pat Laundas and Winthrop Stevens, the photography by Allison Newbold, and the cover art by Jake Ewald.[7] The recording was in the university of Drexler.[8]
