Millia Institute of Technology is a minority college in Bihar established in 2002 by Millia Educational Trust (MET). It is affiliated to BNMU Madhepura and approved by AICTE, Delhi. The founder principal of this college is late Prof S.C Roy (Ex HOD MIT Muzaffarpur). Initially the college started with a small library and with the branch of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science. Later in 2007, Civil was also included. In 2008, the college started polytechnic also in this campus. Another branch of college in Kishanganj named Kishanganj College of Engineering and Technology and polytechnic college are running since 2008 itself. At present MIT conducts various courses.
