Michael Paul Welch
Michael Paul Welch (born 8 September 1962) is a performer/producer from Barbados. He was born in Yorkshire, England & moved to the Caribbean when he was just 6 years old. Michael has been performing in & out of Barbados for almost three decades.He has worked with quite a few artist both on the stage and in the studio as a producer/writer.He released his first solo project "Ready Or Not"in 2010. Despite the lack of airplay by the local stations in Barbados on some other projects,it has never hurt his enthusiasm and dedication to what he has done for a lifetime- making music !' "Strange enough, I get more kudos for my work outside of Barbados,...I perform in the tourism sector of the country which is an audience that hardly include locals"..he says. "Its like being on tour but not leaving home, kinda cool" He also feels with the internet,music is not controlled by major labels and radio stations. MPW is working on his sophomore album entitled "Dangerous" due for 2016 release.He is married for the past 23 years and has two children from that union.He is also a passionate of the game cricket and supports the West Indies cricket team.
