Melville City Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Melville, Perth, Western Australia. The club currently (2016) competes in the Football West State League Division 2.
History
The club was founded 1969 under the name Melville City Junior Soccer Club, and originally played all their home games at Tompkins Park in Applecross. The club was founded by local English Australians, with the club playing in ’Country Week’, a carnival where country teams came to Melville towards the end of each season to compete in a knock out type competition.
