Mellow Mood are an Italian reggae band from Pordenone, formed in 2005.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
History
The group was formed in San Vito al Tagliamento in 2005. They recorded their first EP in 2006. They won the 2008 Italia Wave contest for Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the following year they won the Italian Reggae Contest sponsored by Rototom Sunsplash and they came in third as the European Reggae Contest.
Their official debut came in 2009, when they released an album called "Move!", produced by Paul Baldini, who would later become their sound architect and dubmaster. The band was led by twins Jacob and LO Garzia, with Federico Mazzolo (also known for his electronic project IOSHI ) on drums, Enrico Bernardini on keyboards, Giulio Frausin (who now divides his time between Mellow Mood and acoustic folk band, The Sleeping Tree ) on bass, and Stefano and Roberto Salmaso Dazzan as the horn section.
