McElroy Glacier
McElroy Glacier (70°58′S 166°58′E / 70.967°S 166.967°ECoordinates: 70°58′S 166°58′E / 70.967°S 166.967°E) is a tributary glacier just west of Matthews Ridge on Tapsell Foreland, Victoria Land, Antarctica, draining south to join Barnett Glacier. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960–63, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Clifford T. McElroy, a United States Antarctic Research Program geologist at McMurdo Station, 1964–65 and 1966–67.[1]
