'Marita Hakala' (born 10 November, 1968) is Finnish fashion model,[1] who worked in many countries top agencies as high fashion model. She started her career from Milan, Italy, and her first booking was with Blumarine.

After her active international modeling career Marita Hakala wrote [2] TV format Mallikoulu (Model School) according to her own experiences in modeling world as a shy Finnish girl. The show was aired in Finland main channel MTV3 [3] Friday prime time during years 2005 and 2006. Winner of first season was Suvi Koponen [4] (Suvi Riggs), who was then 16 years old school girl, and is now world known super model.

Marita Hakala is known for her multifaceted experience in fashion modeling business, and specially her skills to scout and train new model talents. She is the owner of her own model agency in Helsinki, Finland.

Marita Hakala has been part of several Finnish TV programs and fashion related events.[5]

Year 2014 Marita Hakala moved to Los Angeles.[6] She is working as freelancer entertainment reporter and writer for Finnish press, TV and internet sites. She also still works as a model part-time.
