Club career

Cardona was born in Lleida, Catalonia, and represented San Benito CF as a youth.[1] In 2014 he joined Atlético Sanluqueño CF, and made his debut for the club on 24 August 2014 by coming on as a second half substitute in a 0–3 Tercera División away loss against CD Alcalá.

Cardona appeared rarely for the first team during his first season, being regularly used with the reserves in Primera Andaluza. In his second, he was a key unit in Sanluqueño's promotion to Segunda División B, scoring a career-best 20 goals; highlights included a hat-trick in a 5–1 home routing of Sevilla FC C on 24 January 2016.

On 29 June 2016 Carmona joined FC Barcelona, being immediately assigned to the reserves in the third division.[2] He made his debut for Barça B on 20 August, scoring all his team's goals in a 3–1 home win against Atlético Saguntino.[3]

Cardona made his first team debut on 30 November 2016, replacing fellow debutant Carles Aleñá in an 1–1 away draw against Hércules CF, for the season's Copa del Rey.[4]
