State Route 226 is a north-south Maine state highway running from SR 17/SR 126 in Randolph to SR 17 in Chelsea. It serves as an alternate route to SR 27 to get to downtown Augusta (via part of SR 17). It is locally known as Windsor Street in Randolph and Togus Road in Chelsea.
History
SR 226 was designated in 1934 to serve what is now Togus VA Medical Center. It was first signed the following year.[1]
