Mahogany Bluff

Mahogany Bluff (63°53′S 57°14′W / 63.883°S 57.233°W / -63.883; -57.233Coordinates: 63°53′S 57°14′W / 63.883°S 57.233°W / -63.883; -57.233) is a rocky bluff 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Cape Gordon, forming the east side of Pastorizo Bay, on Vega Island, Antarctica. It was so named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee because of the striking deep red-brown color of the bluff, reminiscent of mahogany wood.[1]
