Maggi Cuppa Mania

Maggi Cuppa Mania is a Maggi instant noodle product by Nestle launched in mid 2008 in two variants, ‘Masala Yo!’ and ‘Chilli Chow Yo!’. The soup mixes are packaged with a disposable fork and a seasoning packer.[1] Ingredients include vegetables and Nestle claims that each 70 gram pack of the instant noodles meets 15% of the recommended daily allowance(RDA) for calcium. A copyright infringement case was launched against the Yo! titling.

Initial Controversy

Moods Hospitality, which owns the Yo! China Chinese restaurant chain, has won a court case against Nestle based on the allegation that Nestle was riding piggyback on Yo! China's brand equity for its own Masala Yo and Chilli Chow Yo noodles.[2]
