Machakos University is a higher education institute with its main campus located along Machakos - Wote road in Machakos town, Machakos County in Kenya
History [1]
In 1957, the College was founded by the colonial Government as a Technical Rural Training School named Machakos Technical and Trade School.
Machakos Technical School was established later in 1967 and Machakos Training Technical Institute in 1987.
The Institution was elevated to Machakos University College, a constituent college of Kenyatta University, through Legal Notice No. 130, on 16 September 2011.[2]
In October 2016, Machakos University received a charter that allows it to operate as an independent public university.
Education
Machakos University mainly offers educational courses, food and beverage courses, engineering courses and secretariat courses among others.
