Lycus trabeatus, common name Tailed net-winged beetle, is a species of beetle belonging to the Lycidae family.
Description and distribution
Lycus trabeatus reaches a length of about 22–31 millimetres (0.87–1.22 in). The insect's pronotum is black, with orange edges and it has elytra that are black at their bases and tips. It inhabits subtropical forests, savannahs and grasslands where it feeds on flowers.[2] This species occurs in Ethiopia and South Africa.
