Lycaena nivalis, the lilac-bordered copper or nivalis copper,[1] is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the western mountains of North America.[2]
The wingspan is 25–29 mm. Adults are on wing from July to mid-August.[2]
The larvae feed on Polygonum douglasii.[1]
