List of Criminal Minds episodes
Criminal Minds is a police procedural that debuted on CBS on September 22, 2005. The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia. The BAU is part of the FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. The series follows special agents Dr. Spencer Reid, Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, Penelope Garcia, Emily Prentiss, David Rossi, Dr. Tara Lewis and Luke Alvez trying to profile the unsub. Other former characters are Jason Gideon, Elle Greenaway, Ashley Seaver, Dr. Alex Blake, Kate Callahan, Derek Morgan and Aaron Hotchner.
The show was renewed for an eighth season, consisting of 24 episodes, on March 14, 2012 by CBS and the season premiered on September 26, 2012.[1] The series was officially renewed for a ninth season on May 9, 2013;[2] it included the 200th episode - the 14th episode of the season. On March 13, 2014, Criminal Minds was renewed for a tenth season, which consisted of 23 episodes and premiered on October 1, 2014.[3] On May 6, 2016, CBS renewed the series for a twelfth season which premiered on September 28, 2016 with an order of 22 episodes.[4]
