Lewisham Borough (Community) F.C. is an English football club located in Catford, in the London Borough of Lewisham. The club plays in the Southern Counties East League Division One. Lewisham Borough was formed after a merger of three separate teams in 2003.[1] The club was accepted into the newly formed Kent Invicta Football league for the inaugural 2011–12 season.

History

Lewisham Borough Football Club was formed in 2003 through the merger of Moonshot AFC, Ten Em Bee, and AFC Lewisham.[1] After the merger, Lewisham Borough (Community) FC was formed and entered the Kent County Football League Division One West, which they won in their first season.[1] The club were promoted to the Premier Division which they won in 2005–06, however they were not promoted to the Kent League as their ground was not at the required standard.[1] They were accepted into the Kent Invicta Football League for its inaugural 2011–12 season.

Lewisham Borough play their home games at the Ladywell Arena in Catford.

Colours

Lewisham Borough's colours are Royal Blue & White Striped Shirts, Blue Shorts and Blue Socks.[3] The away kit is Red shirts, shorts and socks with white trim.[3]

The local authority, the London Borough of Lewisham, support the club along with Surrey Canal Sports Foundation and Simpson's Consultancy Services is the main sponsor.

Honours

Lewisham Borough has won two league championships.[4]
