Leonard Kim is an American branding, marketing and startup strategist.[1][2][3][4] He is the managing partner of InfluenceTree, a personal branding accelerator based in California.[5][6][7] He is a writer and speaker with a background in personal branding and communication.[8][9][10][11][12][13] He also spearheads the digital strategy section at Keck School of Medicine of USC.[14][15][16]
Early life and career
Leonard Kim was born on December 21, 1984 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[17] His mother, Katherine H. Choi was a model and his father, Raymond Khim, a photographer. He was raised by his grandparents, Robert L. Landis, a retired air force officer and Hyang S. Landis, a housewife in Buena Park, California. In 2000 while attending John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma, Leonard’s first job was as a park services representative at Knott’s Berry Farm, where he picked up trash, bussed tables and cleaned restrooms. In 2005, Leonard worked as fleet manager at Toyota and left in 2007.[18][19] He later worked in other industries including entertainment, real estate, finance and lead generation.[20] Early in his career, he was fond of self-help programs. He listened to seminars and audiobooks from Jim Rohn, Anthony Robbins and other motivational speakers. In 2013, Leonard started writing on Quora. In the same year, he was named as a ‘’Top Writer and Thought Leader in Business Strategy, Marketing, Startup Strategy and Advice and Business’’ on Quora.[21][22] His writing has been regularly featured in Inc., Fortune, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Huffington Post and other publications, which have been read more than 10 million times[23] in last two years.[24][25][26][27]
