Laxman Eknathrao Kagne (Born 6 September 1965) is an Indian film producer.[1][2] He is Director at Ayodha Multi Speciallity Hospital and works for Proprietorship at Amol Kagne Films - Halal (film).[2][3]

Laxman Kagne and his son Amol Kagne founded the film production company Amol Kagne Films (AKF) in 2013. Halal was the first film produced under AKF banner.[4]

Qualification

He has done Master of Social Work (MSW), M.A, L.L.B., M.Ed. in Hearing Impaired(HI) from Pune University.[2][3]

Filmography

Halal (Marathi: हलाल) is the first film of Amol Kagne Productions is directed by National Award winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil.[5] The film deals with the theme of loyalty, love and the institution of marriage that is deemed to be pious by society. It is a story of human emotions, which depicts the trials and tribulations that women in our society have gone through.[6] Halal film is screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Halal film also screened at Goa Film Festival.[7]

Halal premiered at the Pune International Film Festival 2016.[8] Halal also screened at the 2016 Aurangabad International Film Festival.[9]

Halal film garnered many awards and nominations in several categories with praise for Shivaji Lotan-Patil's direction, cinematography, production design, costumes, and cast's performances. At the Maharashtra State Film Awards 2016, the film won 6 awards.[7] It was also nominated for Sanskruti Kaladarpan Awards 2016.
