Kurumaddali
Kurumaddali is a village in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated on the Machilipatnam - Vijayawada highway, 3 km. from Pamarru towards Vijayawada and 10 km from Vuyyuru. Pamarru is a Mandal Headquarters and a Legislative Assembly constituency. Pammaru has become Legislative Assembly constituency in the delimitation process held prior to 2009 general elections.
Village is divided in two settlements Kurumaddali(on highway) and old Kurumaddali(along Pulleru). In Kurumaddali, one can see temples on both sides of the highway. The temples include Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple (Sivalayam), Chenna Kesava Swamy Temple (Vishnalayam), Saibaba Temple and Anjaneya Swamy Temple, all near the village bus stop, as well as Srirama Avdhutha Temple and Ramalayam. Sivalayam and Vishnalayam are more than 100 years old. Temples presence along main highway have brought the name of village as Temples Village. Village Panchayat Office is located on the highway itself. The village economy is predominantly agriculturally based. Village has an Upper Primary School and children go to Pamarru(Mandal Headquarters) for High School studies. In the late 1990s and 2000s, the Village made a push into the industrial sector with rice mills, marine produce processing units, a bran oil extraction mill and a mini-power project in the village.
Many people from the village have migrated to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and other places and prospered in different fields. Many people from this village had gone for higher studies and many have settled in good positions nationally and internationally.
