Konstantin Valentinovich Makarov (Russian: Константи́н Валенти́нович Мака́ров) (1931–2011) was a Soviet Navy Admiral of the Fleet^[1]

• 1943 - Makarov completed the naval preparatory school
• 1949 - Entered the Soviet Navy
• 1953 - Graduating from the Baltic Higher Naval School, he served aboard diesel submarines in the Black Sea Fleet
• 1960 - He completed the Advanced Special Officers' Course
• 1963 - Appointed commanding officer of a diesel submarine
• 1967 - Completed the Naval Academy
• - Appointed commanding officer of a nuclear submarine, Northern Fleet
• 1971 - Chief of Staff of a Division of nuclear submarines, Northern Fleet
• 1972 - Commander, Division of nuclear submarines, Northern Fleet
• 1975 - Deputy Head, Operational Directorate, Main Navy Staff
• 1981 - Chief of Staff/1st Deputy Commander, Baltic Fleet
• 1985 - Completed the General Staff Academy
• 1985 - Commander, Baltic Fleet
• 1985-92 - Chief of Main Navy Staff/1st Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Navy
• 1989 - Promoted to Fleet Admiral
• 1992 - Retired
