Kevin O'Connell (Canadian weather reporter)

Kevin Michael O'Connell (born 3 August 1965) is a Canadian-born weather specialist currently working at CITV-TV Global Edmonton.

History

Kevin attended high school in Edson, Alberta, graduating in 1983. He started work in the broadcast industry in Red Deer, Alberta in 1988. He then moved north to Edmonton to co-host ITV First News in . Later O'Connell became a weather specialist and is now working on the weekend news show Saturday Morning News, running from 8:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday mornings.[1]

Charity work

O'Connell is also seen as a figure of charity. He does much work with the Edmonton Humane Society, Crimestoppers, and the Cancer Foundation.[1]

Personal life

O'Connell has family in Saskatchewan and Alberta. His immediate family in Alberta - him, his wife Amanda (née Masters), their two children and his father - reside in Edmonton. His brother lives in St. Albert and his sister in Drayton Valley.
