Katraj Jain Temple
Katraj Jain Temple is a famous pilgrimage situated at Katraj in Pune District, Maharashtra. This temple is dedicated to Mahavir,24th and last tirthankar of Jainism. The main attraction of this temple is a golden colored 12 feet statue of Mahaveer Swami in Padmasan posture. This statue is made up of panch-dhatu and weighing around 5000 kg.
There is a temple behind this temple dedicated to Parshvanatha having a similar 8 feet idol of Bhagwan Parshvanth that weighs around 3000 kg.
Snake Park
Located in Katraj, this snake park is home to a number of snakes and other reptiles like crocodiles. One can see Snakes of different shapes and sizes in the park. Information about snakes with pictures is displayed in a library within the park. A zoo has also been recently added, making it an attractive tourist place, especially for children.
Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park
