Kagadi General Hospital, also, Kagadi Hospital, is a hospital in the Western Region of Uganda.
Location
The hospital is located on the Kyenjojo–Kabwoya Road, in the town of Kagadi, in Kibaale District, about 117 kilometres (73 mi) southwest of Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.[1] This is about 94 kilometres (58 mi) west of Mubende Regional Referral Hospital.[2] The coordinates of the hospital are 0°56'30.0"N, 30°48'32.0"E (Latitude:0.941661; Longitude:30.808889).[3]
Overview
Kagadi General Hospital was built and is owned by the government of Uganda. In July 2012, the hospital was the epicenter of an outbreak of Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever.[4][5] Like many hospitals n Uganda, the hosital faces challenges of understaffing,[6] poor pay and late salary payments.[7]
