"Just Want You to Know" is a song performed by the Backstreet Boys. It was released as the second single from the group's fifth studio album Never Gone. The single performed moderately well hitting the top ten in the UK and Spain, and reaching the top twenty in Italy, Germany and Ireland, and charting inside the top 40 in most other charts. This song was featured on the 2005 US compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 20 which was their last official appearance on a Now! CD.
Music video
The video for the song is based on the 1986 documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot, and features the Backstreet Boys as fans in 1985 of the fictional heavy metal band "Sphynkter".[1] There were two videos for this song and both were directed by Marc Klasfield and released worldwide on September 3, 2005.
