Julio Enrique Valera Torres (born October 13, 1968 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for five seasons. He played for the New York Mets from 1990 to 1991, the California Angels from 1992 to 1993, and the Kansas City Royals in 1996. Valera was traded by the Mets to the Angels in exchange for shortstop Dick Schofield.
